Sealed Fables is operated by RocketFang LLC, a United States limited liability company and the controller of the personal data described here. We respect your privacy and explain what we collect, why, and how we use it.
Information We Collect
When you create an account or join our waitlist, we collect your email address and role. Story participation may include a preferred name, locale, timezone, replies, and accepted attachments. For purchases, memberships, private-content access, and dispute evidence, we may also record the applicable terms version, consent time, IP address, browser user agent, access time, and resource identifier.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to deliver purchased editions, personalize letters, keep the story timeline coherent, prevent abuse, and communicate service updates. For adaptive editions, accepted story replies and attachments may be processed by our configured AI provider (currently Google Gemini routed through Cloudflare AI Gateway); the catalog discloses AI authorship before purchase.
Payment Processing
Eligible digital purchases use Stripe Managed Payments, where Stripe acts as merchant of record and handles payment collection, supported indirect taxes, transaction receipts, refunds, fraud, and disputes. We provide the digital product and product support. We do not store or process card numbers or raw payment details directly.
Analytics
We use operational logs and aggregate provider telemetry to maintain reliability, security, and email delivery. If you explicitly allow optional audience analytics, we load Google Analytics to measure page and checkout-funnel interactions with IP anonymization enabled. We do not use advertising trackers, and declining analytics does not reduce service access.
Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies for sign-in, security, language, interface preferences, and remembering your analytics choice. Google Analytics loads only after you select Allow analytics. You can clear the choice in your browser and choose again on a later visit.
Service Providers and Disclosures
We share only the data needed to operate the service with providers such as Cloudflare for hosting and email, Stripe as merchant of record for eligible digital payments, Google Analytics when you consent, and configured AI providers for disclosed adaptive editions. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.
Retention and Security
We retain account, purchase, membership, correspondence, delivery, access-evidence, and audit records only while needed to provide the service, meet legal or accounting duties, resolve payment disputes, and enforce agreements. Raw quarantined inbound email is scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Access is restricted by role and private story assets are not public.
Your Rights
Subject to identity verification and applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data and exercise other available data rights. Contact privacy@sealedfables.com.
